- Deliverable: technical architecture document (DAT)
Embedded development Study, specification and development of various components of a next-generation hands-free vehicle access system. The project our architects are working on involves fully replacing a car key with a smartphone. Using BLE and UWB technologies, a mobile phone will be able to fully replace a car key by triggering door unlocking and locking functions within the vehicle’s proximity perimeter.
Study, specification and development of various components of a next-generation hands-free vehicle access system. Numeryx has been working for over a year on the embedded software of vehicles from France’s leading automotive supplier. With a team of two embedded architects, Numeryx takes part in developing the embedded software on board the vehicles of several car manufacturers. In carrying out the study, specification and development of various components of a next-generation hands-free vehicle access system, the system architects use UWB (Ultra-Wideband) – a short-range wireless network covering the car’s interior, mainly used to unlock / lock the car with a smartphone – & BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). This Bluetooth technology goes to sleep and only wakes up when a signal is sent from the mobile phone.
