Following the development of the COVID-19 epidemic on an international scale and recent announcements by the French government, the Numeryx management has activated its Business Continuity Plan (BCP), based on local recommendations and regulations, both at its head office in France and at its subsidiary based in Tunisia. This plan aims to continue to provide our services to ensure the continuity of our customers' projects, while guaranteeing the health and safety of our employees. This note summarizes the main measures of this plan
Rules in force for all our employees
Since 2 March, we have been applying the recommendations of the World Health Organization and those of the French health authorities. These regulations cover the curtailment of professional travel in regions considered to be at risk and the awareness of hygiene preventive measures.
Since 12 March and until further notice, Numeryx is promoting full-time teleworking for all employees who can already perform their duties remotely. This rule becomes mandatory for employees with chronic illnesses that reduce immunity, as well as for pregnant women. Teleworking tools have also been deployed for people who are not yet equipped.
We are in constant contact with our teams so that we can identify the people affected.
Videoconferencing is preferred for all meetings, both internal or external, and business trips in France or abroad were strongly discouraged several days before they were banned by the French authorities.
In this sensitive context, each manager was asked to pay special attention to his or her staff.
Mesures prises pour assurer la continuité de nos services
The employees with critical roles in the performance of our tasks have been identified. We have taken the necessary measures to ensure that they remain able to work and that an operational backup is made available to them. The list of these employees will be regularly monitored.
The services performed by our team of consultants at our customers' sites will be maintained through teleworking. They can also be performed by videoconference wherever this measure is possible. Otherwise, our customers must certify that their sites do not present a major health risk and must bear the consequences if they take unnecessary risks.
The technical support teams have organized themselves to provide continuity of support services. These tasks are already perfectly suitable for remote working, and the key functions and their backups are identified and protected.
Cancellation of Numeryx training sessions
In the interest of our customers' and partners' health, we have decided to cancel the face-to-face training sessions organized by Numeryx and scheduled up to 30 April. This period may be extended in the future, depending on the development of the epidemic. However, our distance learning courses will be maintained. Our training organization "Numeryx University" is working on the digitization of other training courses, including the Agile (SCRUM) methodology, Project Management, Cryptology, cybersecurity basics, etc.
Rules defined for visitors and external people coming into our premises to work
Since 2 March, we have been asking people from outside the organization to come to the door and not to enter the offices in our head office. We also audit our customers' BCP measures to make sure that our consultants are safe on their premises.
The Numeryx management will regularly assess the development of the situation to define the necessary adaptations to the Business Continuity Plan. This announcement will then be amended accordingly.
